Angular SPA, Magnolia CMS & Custom Spring Boot Microservice
Challenge & Background
As part of a company-wide digitalization initiative, the goal was to standardize and streamline the onboarding process for new hires. The primary challenge: building a centralized platform while delivering highly personalized content based on location, role, and user profile. Since this was a greenfield project, the scope spanned from overall architecture design and CMS selection to frontend development and automated server provisioning.
Technical Solution & Implementation
End-to-End Greenfield Architecture
Designed and built the system architecture from scratch: combining a high-performance Angular Single Page Application (SPA), Magnolia Headless CMS, and automated server infrastructure.
Identity Management & Custom Microservice
Developed a dedicated Spring Boot microservice to integrate with existing enterprise Identity Management systems. The service handles user authentication, dynamic permission/token issuance, and database persistence for seamless user mapping.
Decoupled Frontend & Headless CMS
Connected Magnolia REST APIs to the Angular client for dynamic content delivery, enabling location- and role-specific content delivery without code modifications.
Automation & Infrastructure Setup
Established CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, building, and deploying the entire system across multiple server environments.
Component Library & Design System
Built a reusable Angular UI component library to ensure consistent corporate branding and accelerate future feature development.
